The Dayton Grade School use many forms of technology in the classroom. These include chromebooks, iPads, smart projectors, document cameras, and some wireless projection devices. Our students in  kindergarten and first grade are 1 to 1 iPads. This means one device for each student. Our second through fifth graders are 1 to 1 Chromebooks. We began our 1 to 1 intiative in 2011 and been fully one device per student since 2015.

These devices allow us regular access to educational tools and curriculum that require internet access. Monitoring and filter system are in-place at all times as required by CIPA. More information can be found here. The following list of resources are our most widely used:

Reading

Benchmark Literacy: Student, teacher sign-on link for our reading and writing curriculum.

Starfall This site is primarily for early readers. We use this site to help students with letter-sound recognition.

PBS Game: Reading This site is full of interactive reading games for kids.

Raz Kids: Reading program used in many of our lower grades.
 
Math

Zearn: Individualized video-tutorial math program. This program is used in grades 1 through 5.

PBS Math Games : This is site has a variety of interactive math games for students of all levels.
